Governance of the Institute

The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche is the head of the Institute as Executive Director. He provides guidance on issues related to the overall development and direction of the Institute. Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and Khenpo Tsültrim Gyamtso Rinpoche serve as the main lineage advisors to Ponlop Rinpoche regarding the Institute. Resident Acharya Lama Tenpa Gyaltsen and Visiting Acharyas also assist Ponlop Rinpoche in refining the Institute’s curriculum.

The day to day decision-making process for running the Institute occurs in the Executive Council, which reaches decisions by consensus. Three of the members of the Council are Directors who provide overall administrative leadership for the Institute. Employees of the Institute are the Managing Director who has the over-all responsibility for the day to day operations of the Institute, and the Publications Manager who is responsibile for the recording, transcription, editing and publication of all Institute materials.
