NEW! MIND & ITS WORLD SERIES

Mind & Its World 1 Sourcebook

Mind & Its World 1 begins a detailed analysis of the subjective side of experience. It examines mind and how it perceives its world in valid and invalid ways. It also introduces the two Hinayana philosophical systems, the Vaibhashika and Sautrantika schools, covering the two truths and the process of perception. Selected readings, analytical meditations, study questions, review summaries are included in the sourcebook.

Clear Thinking 1 Workbook

Clear Thinking 1 begins a detailed analysis of the objective side of experience, or phenomena. It examines the different classifications of phenomena and explores the four possible relationships between any two phenomena. It also introduces the Clear Thinking Dialog practice. Selected readings and classifications, definitions, and four relationship exercises are included in the workbook.

Mind & Its World 2 Sourcebook

Mind & Its World examines the theme of karma. It begins the study of causes and conditions, the twelve nidanas, or chain of interdependent origination, and the distinction between primary minds and mental factors, with a detailed presentation of the mental factors. Selected readings, analytical meditations, study questions, and review summaries are included in the sourcebook.

Mind & Its World 3 Sourcebook

Mind & Its World 3 first concludes the investigation into causes and results. It then turns to the analysis of the ways in which mind cognizes phenomena, particularly the ways in which conceptuality functions, by investigating modes of engagement and methods that lead to cognition. Selected readings, analytical meditations, study questions, and review summaries are included in the sourcebook.

Mind & Its World 4 Sourcebook

Mind & Its World 4 concludes the series with a detailed presentation of the two Hinayana tenet systems of the Vaibashika/Particularists and Sautrantika/Sutra Followers. It includes definitions of the two schools, a discussion of their subschools, a more in-depth discussion of their presentations of the process of perception and the two truths, the differences between their presentations of objects of knowledge and descriptions of the path. Selected readinds, analytical meditations, study questions, and review summaries are included in the sourcebook.

Debate Workbook

The Debate Workbook reviews the four relationships and then turns to a thorough exploration of three-part reasonings, the three modes, and the three types of reasoning, including an analysis of the different logical structures and parameters for making a valid argument. It progressively builds the logic of debate practice, beginning with Clear Thinking dialog to using three-part reasonings. Selected readings, study questions, review summaries, and debate exercises are included in the workbook.
